Terms set below are set at time of purchase. Purchase is set on date of payment. Changes to policies will not affect your original terms.
What does this limited warranty cover?
Valence™ Bicycles LLC covers defects in material or workmanship during the lifetime of the Road+ Di2 frame (made for electronic shifters), 3 years on the Road+ (made for mechanical shifters such as shimano 105 mechanical), 2 years for the fork, and 1 year for all other components. The warranty covers from the date of receiving your products.
During the warranty period, we will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship that cause an adverse effect to the structural integrity or ability to function, under normal use and maintenance. If a replacement is necessary, you will receive a new or refurbished in like new condition as a replacement.
This warranty is applicable to original owner and is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required for warranty.
Who covers shipping?
In event of approved warranty we provide free return shipping, on all domestic shipments. This will be a reimbursement for price paid for shipping.
What does this limited warranty not cover?
Valence™ Bicycles LLC evaluates whether failure is resulting from a manufacture defect. All Valence™ Road+ frames and other parts included with the bicycle that were damaged due to crashes or any other conditions, malfunctions or damage resulting from negligence, improper maintenance or modification- damaged or destroyed by natural causes including but not limited to damage on vehicle roof racks: a crash replacement program is offered for product sale at reduced cost, determined at date of request. Modification or misuse of the bicycle beyond intended purpose of solely human powered riding by a single individual voids warranty. Mounts on frame for fenders are to be used for fenders and a 3rd party lightweight rear rack carrying up to 2kg of added weight beyond the weight of the rack. Racks are to be mounted to the rack mount bolt-hole by the dropout on the seat stay and to a 3rd party seat post clamp mount. Contact for any questions regarding normal use. Any recommendations we make for add on 3rdparty products do not deem responsibility for damage or loss due to fault of 3rd party product.
What happens if Valence Bicycles determines damage is not covered by warranty?
If you already know the damage is not due to manufacture defect, please let us know. We’ll set you up with a crash replacement, a generous discount towards a new purchase. In such event, you’re responsible for shipping costs to get the products to us. We’ll send a replacement with no shipping charge.
If you send in for warranty and it is deemed not covered due to manufacture defect, we will offer crash replacement. If you wish to use the crash replacement, your original damaged item will not be returned. Again, we will cover return shipping without charge. If you choose to have your product returned without crash replacement, your item will be returned and you are advised to dispose of the product. Any further use and transfer to other individuals is not advised and is your liability in event of any personal or property damage.
Please make sure to send it back safely and insured because in event of loss or damage through shipping to us, we do not take responsibility for lost or damaged shipments.

EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES (INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE) SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.
Limitation of Damages
EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Valence Bicycles LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state to state.
This Limited Warranty shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any conflict of laws principles that may provide the application of the law of another jurisdiction.
What can be returned?
Just ride the bike. Wear may occur and that’s fine. We’re confident you’ll like it; otherwise, send it back. We’ll even cover return shipping. You’ll have the option of refund or replacement.
When do items need to be returned?
Your must send back the item within 10 days of delivery.
Sometimes, the pooridge is too hot or too cold (here, I’m talking about the bike being the wrong size). In this case, we’ll do our best to set you up with a new or lightly used (demo or another low use return). If you need to exchange for a different bike, no problem. We’ll cover the return shipping (shipping to us); however, you will need to cover the replacement shipping costs (shipping back to you).
How do customers return items?

Shipping for returns?
Like we were saying, we have you covered. We provide free return shipping, on all domestic orders within the United States.
For international shipments, unfortunately, we cannot refund outgoing, return shipping, and import fees in event of a return. Please, please, please make sure you know what you’re getting before you purchase. As of June 2016, international shipping is not an option.
Credit for returns?
Refunds will be made within 30 days of when items are received at Valence Bicycles. We will do our best to send within 3 business days. Refunds will be made in the same method as used to pay.
